Camino de Santiago in Winter

In summer there are a lot of pilgrims walking. To get away from the crowds, some choose to walk in winter time. This can perfectly be done, but you need to be prepared for closed albergues and snow in higher elevations. Our pilgrims over in the Camino de Santiago forum discusses more on this here.

Comfortable line at the Pilgrims Office

After the long lines of July an August, it is good to see that the lines are getting smaller. This shows the line before the door opens. Should not be more than a 5 minute wait to get the compostela for these pilgrims.

Camino de Santiago Snoring

[tube]uZmtTK_sKIc[/tube] On the Camino people snore. There is no way you can get around it, that when many people sleep in the same room, there will be one of them that will suffer from this…problem. Because of this earplugs have become a very important piece of equipment for pilgrims.

The crowds have gone

A few weeks ago Santiago was buzzing, but that was then. Now, pilgrims have no problems finding a place to sleep. No lines to get lunch. That sounds all good, but October also brings rain. I guess you can’t have it all.
