Camino Portugués--2011--From Lisbon to Finisterre

Postby lsandstead on 29 Aug 2011, 17:11

Last summer I had the great opportunity to walk 600 miles of the Camino Francés. (And I got engaged along the way!)

This summer--for our honeymoon--we went back to the Camino walking the route known as the Camino Portugués. Starting in Lisbon, we ended in Finisterre.

I recently uploaded galleries for those of you interested:

Black-and-white: http://www.sandstead.com/camino_portugu ... and_white/

All the best,

Lee

Lee,

Congrats on adding the Camino to the joy of a honeymoon...perfect!

The photos are fantastic and a welcomed addition in planning my next Camino along the Portuguese in October.

Saludos,

Arn

Ah, yes great trip, we did it the opposite way , I.e. staring in Ferrol and ending in Lisban, and while not a honey moon either, we found it a great walk. Do check out the bombederos as several towns a own south have no other accomodation options and we found them to be very helpful.

Hi Lee,

Congratulations! Beautiful pictures!!
As someone who walked the Frances and then the Camino Portugues the next year, do you recommend? I walked the Camino Frances last year was initially going to walk the Via de la Plata this year, but now leaning towards the Camino Portugues, partly due to time constrains. Would love to hear any thoughts or tips.

Many thanks!
Michal
