"Xunta de Galicia chooses to Fumiage their albergues"

Postby ivar on 17 Sep 2008, 11:19

El Correo Gallego, reports today that after a "multitude of complaints, they have chosen to fumigate their albergues to get rid of bedbugs". The article mentions that they have seen many of these complaints in online forums (they do not mention if it is this one).

Either way. This is the first time that I have seen a journalist mention a pilgrim forum as a source of information related to the pilgrimage to Santiago. What does this mean? Maybe, from now on, what we say here will have an effect on what the Galician government does related to pilgrims.

By the way, there is no mention if this fumigation will be coordinated with the rest of the albergues outside of Galicia. Either when this will happen.
