What a day! Got to the airport in time for computer crash that was nationwide at all United - no checking in or ticketing for hours-all systems & kisosks down..delaying international and other connections- would have missed my connection from Munich to toulouse and then the train that I booked from toulouse to Lourdes and would not have been able to check in to hotel. SO- after the nerve racking rush through security to meet the first delay reschedule- misplaced my international phone after I dropped in security bucket..then additional gate delay...realizing the craziness was getting increasingly nervous and also the whole notion of the system being suspended/hacked?- was able to change my flight to same flight but on Thursday without penalty as I met a really great flight attendent at the gate who helped expedite process despite all the other unhappy customers and tense employees. I just became too anxious as well- and realized I would be better off taking a later flight and not screwing up all my connections and further draining all my resources. I think it was all meant to be, I found my phone thanks be to God, and just had to call hotel, train to see if I could exchange etc..I know God has a plan, and I am actually relieved to have two extra days to take care of some things and not have the stress of all the missing connections (hopefully!!) Very emotional few days..BUt ULTREYA!!
