After all the problems with forest fires on the Camino Portugues last month, another fire, this time at a chemical plant in Caldas de Rei, has caused spillage of toxic waste into the river Umia. The spillage seems now to have been contained, and will not now affect the Arousa Ria, as feared at first. BBC report here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/5311806.stm
