It's not a blog, it's a podcast!

Postby dislp38 on 23 Feb 2011, 23:28

Hi all,
After two years of dragging my feet, I finally started on my Camino de Santiago podcast. We call it the ipilgrim podcast. It's a podcast devoted to the Camino de Santiago where we talk about most of the things we talk about on this forum. We are still in the growing stages, but it can only get better.

The link to the blog/webpage is:
http://www.ipilgrimpodcast.com/

you can listen to the podcast there or

You can also find us on itunes and subscribe for free.

We also have a facebook page. I hope that if anyone wants to leave voice feedback or ask a question, we can answer it on the podcast. I have two episodes up today and will be adding a third episode today or tomorrow.

Buen Camino,
Deborah

An absolute wonderful series of conversations spoken in a friendly helpful manner. Spoken by those who live with the times. It is a fantastic way of keepingthe memories of the Camino alive, and disseminating information using techie stuff.

Hi Deborah

I use my mobile phone for 90% of all my web related stuff and was pleased to see your blog formatted nicely for mobile phone viewing :-)
I clicked the 'find rss feed' through my phone and am now subscribed to your podcasts - which are great!

I look forward to more and wish you all the success in this innovative venture of yours.

Peace.
Chris

I just returned from the American Friends of the Camino Gathering in Santa Barbara last weekend and it was quite an enjoyable and inspiring experience (were any of you there too?). We did get to hear from Lydia Smith about her ongoing work, the Camino Documentary, and the holding pattern she's currently in due to lack of funding. She has 300 hours of film already shot from 2009 but needs funds to complete a rough cut to take to film festivals and distributors- any help you can offer would be appreciated:

caminodocumentary.org

As for the rest of the Gathering, we were treated to medieval and Codex Calixtinus music, SDC Cathedral archaeology, interesting paper presentations, practical pilgrim preparation workshops and much more all in the serene setting of a beautiful Spanish Mission. After being away from the Camino for 22 years, I had a great time mingling with a group of folks who "get it" (the term "freaks" came up not a few times :P ) Thanks to the Friends for putting on a wonderful get together.
