Taxi from Biarritz to St. Jean

Postby Louise-Spagnuolo on 26 Feb 2010, 03:30

Greetings:

I have just made a reservation to leave the airport in Biarritz heading to St. Jean on Saturday, April 17th around 3:30 p.m.
The total cost is 65 Euro which will be divided by the number in the taxi.

If ther is anyone who would like to join me you are welcome to. Let me know and we can figure meeting up. I'll be the one with the backpack (just kidding, that is a joke ).

Traveling from Connecticut - USA...looking forward to meeting everyone.

Regards,
Ctlou

Did you book this through Express Bourricot? I might want to do the same in May.

I booked it through:

Express Bourricot
Transport de bagages et personnes
31 rue de la citadelle
64220 Saint jean Pied de port

I emailed Caroline at apcaroline@hotmail.com and she sent me back a quote.
It took about a day to get the quote back.

Where are you traveling from?

Hope this helps.

I'll be arriving from London (originally from San Francisco) on Ryanair on May 17.

Hey there.

Any sense of how long this taxi journey will take? I had been thinking of the doing the plan outlined in the "Walking The Camino de Santiago" guide of taking an airport bus from Biarritz to Bayonne, then train to St-Jean. It does sound like a bit of of a hassle though, after just arriving from a multi-leg 8-10 hour jaunt from Toronto!

Has anyone done it this way?

Thanks!

Ben

The woman from the taxi company (Caroline) said the ride to SJPP should take about 1 hour.

Do you know if they would do a pickup in Bayonne? There are three of us that will be there on the 16th of April. Is it cheaper than taking the bus?

I just checked the bus fare from Bayonne to SJPdP http://www.voyages-sncf.com/billet-train/resultats?hid=17EF and it will set you back 8.60 €, it seems like a regular rate for all trips. The trip duration is 1 hour and 21 minutes.

¡Buen Camino!

To Markvanoss et al.

My wife and I are being picked up on Monday May 17th by Caroline (Express Bourricot) at 15:30 - our Ryanair flight gets in at 15:05.

We were quoted 66E - divided by number in taxi. Be great if anyone can join us.

Best wishes,
Casey
