Great albergue run by a young couple from Barcelona. Clean and good facilities. Dinner in town but b/f provided. A good choice.

Such nice hospitaleros! My friend was catching a very early morning bus and was hesitant to walk to the bus station (car park) on the edge of town at such an early hour. Knowing a taxi wasn’t coming, the young man running the place left a note under our room door offering to take her as he passed by on his way to the neighbouring town. Such a kind gesture goes a long way. You may be tired as you walk into Villafranca, but it’s worth going to the edge of town for this place. It’s also situated just beyond the long and steep climb out of town, so your next day will be just that much shorter.

  3. oh……..such sweet memories on this alberque……….! great showers and had a lovely massage by Paula..who also performed Reiki on me… what a lovely place! hope to return there this summer……..XX

Livia, Unai and Conan (of course!), of Albergue de la Piedra, set the standard by which the best of the best should be judged. Their star shined brightly during our 800 km journey. They went above and beyond.

This was a great albergue that was very well-run. It was clean , had good amenities, computer access / internet, and a great series of toilet/showers. I would definitely stay there again…
