Can I take the bus to Finisterre?

alsa_bus

The question was:

I wanna know if there are any bus services I can avail from Santiago to Finisterre? And how much time does it take to reach there by bus? Can I reach Finisterre, spend some time and get back to Santiago in the same day?

Yes, there are buses for Finisterre but it takes 3 and 1/2 hours to get there. But you can do the the trip in one day if you start at 9 from Santiago. The last bus to come back (if I remeber correctly) start at 5 p.m.

There are two bus operators ; the one covers a coastal route and the other through the interior. Make very sure that the coastal route has a bus returning at a time convenient for you before you buy a return ticket – we were a couple of people who had to by a second ticket with the other bus operator as we had to get back to Santiago for a flight and the Coastal bus did not have a trip back until the next day.

Stages use below are the same as in the Brierly Guidebook
