Can you recommend a good hotel in Santiago de Compostela?

The question was:

I know there are a million hotels in Santiago but I’d appreciate a personal recommendation for a 3 or 4 star hotel near the cathedral.

I stayed at the San Martin de Pinario, just across the street from the Cathedral, last October. It was a great place and I can recommend it without any hesitation.

I stayed at Hostal México, and it´s in the centre of Santiago. It´s likes a Hotel but prices are cheaper than others ! and they are lovely !
