I have started walking my daily 4 miles/6.5 kms again thank God. The half way mark is the highest point near me and has a beautiful 360 degree view (IMO). This is where I say my daily prayers with birdsong and the scents of wildflowers all around. This is where I feel closest to God.
Dear God thank You for this day,
Thank You for this place,
Thank You for this world,
But especially thank You for this life.

A Chara,

We are indeed truly blessed. When the sunshines on this Emerald Isle of ours sure you wouldn't want to be anywhere else (well apart from the Camino !!)

Blue skies , a firm sod and maybe another All Ireland for the Banner !!

Great to hear that you are up and motorin' again.

:D hahah was funny as I read your reply…. my mind could read it and hear it in an Irish accent.

There are some accents in the world that I find very attractive... Irish being one .. along with Italian .. even a fight spoken with an Italian accent sounds romantic to my ears:oops: .

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Wayfarer,

I'm absolutely delighted you are out and about once again. And aren't you the lucky one to be surrounded by such beauty! May God bless you and yours!

So glad to hear you are walking again, Wayfarer - I've no doubt you will continue to get better and better among such beauty. Your church is indeed a place of peace and wonder.

St James' Way - Self-guided 4-7 day Walking Packages, Reading to Southampton, 110 kms
I would go to Your Church there, bow to a knee and whisper tidings of thank and praise
Here in South Texas, we cleave quickly and tightly to our Irish Clergy
the Pastors of my youth
the Monsignors
every one of them endeared and taken totally and completely to Heart
Names Of Mnsr.McGowan, And Mnsr. Davis, whose gentle lilt brought us closer together
Of the strength of character and voice, and a clear singing note, when upon my da's Passing, the Hon.Msr, Mc Gowan came running to ensure my dads passing was not unaccompanied. Absolute strength and unwavering voice he had, as he sang an old ballad to send him from this painful coil to the green fields of his youth.
He had Presided over my parents wedding over 56 years before
and sang him home in his final hours
the amazing goodness sustained the passing,
there is something absolutely good and wonderful in the Emerald Isle, and we as poor distant pilgrims get to taste the fruits of the land

May the Angels always tread upon the glen
May the good shepherd smile over forest and fen
May the Irish choir of cloud, sun and smiles
ever accompany you in all your miles
Peace
