Spring (2014)- Le Puy route
Hello everyone,

I'll be arriving in Le Puy May 3rd, a Saturday afternoon/evening. I'm planning on staying two nights to put an extra day between the walk and the plane travel.

So that means my first whole day in le Puy is Sunday. I'm concerned that I won't find much open. Is that true? Will restaurants be open? Will a grocery be open so that I can get a few provisions for the next day's walk?

Wow, it's getting close now. I wake up sometimes in the middle of the night (like now) and think holy <fill in the blank>. I'm thankful you folks are out there :)

Restaurants and some shops will be open. General retail probably will not be. Cell phone stores are closed, if you are planning to acquire a phone or SIM chip.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Also be aware nothing much is open on Mondays, so it would be wise to order dinner. We stayed at Montbonnet - Gite de Etape La Grange, and ate in the Bar Le Saint Jacques next door. The gite had a lovely big picture window looking out over the countryside.

And not much is open on Monday -- that was my day to get ready in LePuy and I couldn't even get an extra SD card for my camera that day.
