Hello! I!m gonna walk Camino in about 10 days and would like to know how is the current weather in Pyreneas on the way from SJPDP to Pamplona - any snow in there? Many thanks .) J.

As of 12 March it has been unseasonably warm and sunny for this time of year. I was commiserating with a friend today about waiting until early June to start the Camino and was instantly reminded last year it rained for 23 days in May and was still snowing in the Pyrenees in June. Such is the weather in this part of the world.

Same here last year at this time 25000 sheep died in 2/4 mergers of snow to day I was up the highest mountain in Ireland and it was 18c in the car park when I got back. I wonder what it will be like in 9 weeks time when we leave sj today
 
It looks like a fair amount of rain in the Pyrenees for a few days, and there has been a dusting of snow at O Cebreiro!

As of late 25/4/14
I would have reported early this morning that between the rain and strong winds forget getting over the pass today. Then I dropped a friend off in SJPdP around 17h after driving with the top down on my Mini. Such is the weather in Pays Basque.
