Do not over think the Camino it is not a race or an Olympic event ENJOY the walk and what is happening open your heart and eyes. All will be okay 4 walks never trained.
I always stay 2, but I am from Australia 30 hours away. Also its good to have a browse meet people etc. It is not a race a lot of people do damage on day 1 and 2. Easy does it.
Well walk 5 will onl
will only happen in my dreams after quadruple heart bypass in late 2023, but I am happy that I have walked it and found great peace and made many many friends.
My AI tells me walk out he Albergue door, look for a coffee AH that was nice then smile at those around you and put one foot infront of the other and ENJOY the experience, so may over plan over worry and forget why they are walking to Santiago....
I hope you enjoy your Camino, having walked it 3 times both ways I have alway broken the walk, but and yes there is always a but be careful listen to your body as I have found that the first week is where people give up why. because they push themselvs and breakdown both physical and mental so...

I had a quick look over the comments, I could not find the word FUN. Oh I plan each day dont get me wrong.....I wake, I smile, I go outside talk to the first person I see, find a coffee and walk when tired I stop turn around look where I have just come from feel great and then walk some more...

If you wear trail runners now and have no ankle issues I see no reason to change. Over the past 10 years or more the need for heavy hiking boots have diminished as more people realise there are alternatives. I have walked in heat, rain and snow always have used trail runners of different brands...
A good poncho, a smile and a song in your heart. It is the Camino rain, sun, wind and snow all part of the fun. My only guidance is not to worry about it just go with No Expectations and you will have no disappointments.
I walked it in 2018 with PF luckily it was snowing so just took off shoes and rested in the snow. All I can say is stretch calfs before each day and during the day walk shorter distances and you will get there. after my Camino I started to wear Crocs flip flops and after a few weeks it went away...
Anything is possible, but you will need to carry a lot of cash and what about emergencies if you do not have a credit card? Also if not staying in motels you will need to carry toiletries along with a change of clothes as you may not be able to wash and dry each day and walking around naked...
