I totally agree with Rickster. I have just returned from the Norte - it was stunning and beautiful. I am an avid walker and hiker but was still surprised of all the ups and downs on a daily basis - to prepare for this walk I would recommend you do lots of mountainous hikes,with steep climbs...- Vicki

Where will you be coming from? I thought i would bus down to Irun from the airport in Biarritz .... but have had thoughts of walking from there lately. 2 more days then on my way!- Vicki

No, I haven't heard of this one. Plan to do the Norte but probably using the E9 trails as much as I can as I would like to stay as close to the coast as possible. . we shall see. I am curious now and will have to look at the "tunnel".- Vicki

Hello Everyone! I will be beginning my journey on the 21st of August from Irun. I am thinking of walking the coastal route from Zarauk to Getaria, but my book recommends the higher elevation - would be interested in hearing comments either way and also wondering what the distance in...- Vicki
