Well, there is a friendly restaurant some 800 m back towards Zubiri on the motorway.
Be aware tough, no lightning on the road, so take a flashlight to get safely back to the albergue.

Therefore: the air in your clothes has mass, but it weighs nothing (a balloon filled with helium has mass but a negative weight)

I walked my Camino with a Garmin GPS 60Cx.
It wasn't of any use.
But I kept a track of my walking, just for fun.
I bought my maps from the Garmin web-site.

Neither God, nor His fan-club; it's the hooligans I really dislike!

Re: Re:
Never had trouble with sharing.
I like to share the footpaths with walkers, the roads with car's and cyclists.
Should we share the footpaths and cycle-paths with off-the-road motorcyles as well?

Re:
Thanks, Super7.
I am a walker, and copy your opinion.
Cyclist should stay away from the walking paths.

And I also met a German guy, walking 50 Km a day. Never saw him again...
Hi Jenny,
I walked that part both in 2005 and 2008, both times in the beginning of october.
The maps from aucoeurduchemin are more than sufficient (as is the way-marking)
Prepare to walk alone until Oloron Ste Marie.
I didn't call in advance for lodging, and found a bed every night.

They have undies for those who do need to protect their dangling parts.
Works for pilgrims as well.
I prefer shorts.

And I don't doubt about walking with two sticks.
I am very sensitive for tendonits, and walking with two sticks relieves every step.

I used an alarm-clock.
Set it at a time I liked to be on the road, or at breakfast at the least (was it 7:30 ?), just in case I overslept.
Came in handy at St-Jean Pied the port, where everybody overslept.
My wake-up call woke up everybody, including the ones that wanted to walk all the way to...
That is exactly what I did in 2008.
Been in Roncesvalles two times before, and I really disliked the waiting until 4 o'clock for the office to open and the rush to the showers, the crowdiness of the dormitory...
And as an extra: the next morning I had breakfast in peace and comfort. When the...
