Closed to pedestrians, a few signs out there saying this....
It will appear like it is open as people are out walking that way, but what you don't notice is they are turning around at the tip where a gate closes them out!!!!
So you have to take the " stairway to heaven"....

I'd like to suggest that you make sure you go to Getaria!!!!!!
The nautical girl in me LOVED that little gem on Earth.
Glad I stayed In Zarautz though as it gave me perfect timing to arrive in Getaria an hour later for drink and food of my choice. I started late out of Zarautz and had the best outdoor seat in the house at MAYFLOWER restaurant!!!!!
