how to avoid the farmer

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
Not too specific......any more details?

I have only found one, but that was when we descended the wrong road from O Cebriero. We saw a farmer in front of his house, and said that we were a bit lost, and could we fill our water bottles? He said were indeed lost, and that we should think before heading down a road. Maybe being thirsty would make us smarter. I would avoid that guy.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

....was walking this afternoon across a field, & was getting quite close to this very funny looking cow; oh no it's got a very shinney ring in its nose; who needs a farmer when you've got a bull; slowly tried to walk around as we did dog & I he turned his head around to us &, you could almost hear him saying to himself you are lucky I've had my 'oats' today'

not to worry about that note in the guide, the route is well-marked and you don't cross any angry farmer's fields!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I've never run into the angry farmer but I do have a kind farmer story.

Last year on the Camino Primitivo, I got lost and wandered a few kilometers until I ran into a farmer. He walked me down the road and then he opened his gate and told me to cut across his land and I would pick up the Camino on the other side.

As he was closing the gate behind me he said, "Cuidado, hay toro" (Be careful, there's a bull). There indeed was bull and gave him wide berth and chuckled to myself the entire short cut. I'm a city guy and I'm not really sure how to deal with an angry bull!

Jeff:

I am curious. Where were you when you got lost? How far was the shortcut across the field? :D

Joe

Thanks for the PM.
