Pilgrims in Canberra ... who wants to come for a walk with m

Good afternoon all,

I'm new to the forum and have spent most of my day reading - thank you everyone for the valuable advice, support and inspiration! I've wanted to do the Camino for many years and turned the dream into reality about a year ago. I have flights booked for late February, which is in about 8 weeks time - how exciting!

I feel as though my preparations are coming along nicely, except for the physical training. I live in Canberra and would love to connect with other past/present/future pilgrims in the area. Is anyone intersted in turning some training walks into a social event? Please let me know - would love to meet people to share experiences!

I see you have found the Canberra Friends of the Camino site. If you are after regular walks, you might have a look at http://www.canwalk.org.au/, where there are a range of different walking activities. I walk with the Canberra Meetup Walking Group (http://www.meetup.com/Canberra-walking-Meetup-Group/.

The Canberra Two Day Walk Association has a training program that covers eight weeks. The site was down when I tried earlier, but is normally pretty reliable.
