Hopefully we will arrive in Santiago June 1. Does one go to the Pilgrims Office and register even if one knows one will not get the Compostela?
Leaving home today - Oslo, Bilbao, Burgos. First walking Burgos - Covarrubias : Camino de San Olav, then train to Ferrol and walking Camino Ingles!

A selection of Camino Jewellery
If you walk the Camino Ingles from Ferrol, that would be over the 100 km minimum you need for the compostela. Just make sure that you get a sello in Ferrol. I got mine at the Parador, which is a few hundred metres from the formal start point at the port. (I had started at Covas the previous day, but I was rather attracted to having a stamp from the Parador.)

Try to get 2 stamps per day as that is needed. However some places were hard to get stamps, but locals might sign your credencial if you ask. We also took photos along the way so could have shown we truly had walked the full 100kms if lacking the 2 daily stamps.
Buen Camino

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

In the center of Ferrol just 500 meters from the harbour where the camino Ingles starts is the Tourist info. They have a nice stamp but they also suppky you with interesting info yoy need for the camino

Godt tur. Buen camino

We had no problems obtaining sellos except for the church in Ordes. A priest refused to place a sello because in his opinion the camino did not lead through Ordes !? The path was 3 kms away ! It was the first time we experienced this. Maybe it was not his day !
Between Sigüeiro and Santiago there are no bars untill you come at the industrial estate in Santiago where they provide a sello. And when you decend to the towncenter you will meet several bars where you can get one so this track is no problem for two sellos a day. Buen camino

That is good to hear Albertinho. Obviously the situation has improved since we walked in 2011.
Glad to read you had a good Camino but sad about Ordes priest's attitude.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Thank you for your replies! I am well aware of the rules about 100 km and the sellos. But because of age and feet it might happen that I need transportation on a stretch and thus not obtain 100 km. Can I still go to the Pilgrims Office? I would love to meet the Amigos again.. The Compostela is not the most important, I already have 3:)

Sillydoll is walking with Uncle Bob, not us. As far as I know they will still be walking fairly soon.
It is a pity that we did not meet this year. We have also missed Stephen who is walking now as we should have been.
The weather in Galicia looks bad for walking at present so we hope all is going well for him and others.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

If you have to miss a section because of age/healththen I am sure that you can still be welcomed at the Pilgrims' Office. I think they will stamp your credencial but not give you a certificate. Johnny could confirm if I am right.
If you have to take transport to shorten the day and return to the same spot to walk on then you might get a certificate if you have walked the distance, but I think it depends on actual circumstances. Also it depends on the time you have - we took 8 days for the Inglés in 2011 as we took short stages.
Buen Camino

Thank you, Tia Valeria. I have to hope for the best. Leaving home in two hours, can hardly wait !

Well we 'like' the photo, but not the weather you are all having.
