I want to know something about the cost way to Santiago ( through SanSebastain
Hi Sigrun, there should be info on this in the relevant threads. I walked the de la costa, so might see what I can add for you. But whichever way you walk – and relating to the original post – I think part of being a pilgrim is simply accepting that no matter what you do there will always be blisters!
That said, wear in your boots, and pay as much attention to your socks as boots. Prefer natural fibres that breathe – wool is best, and I like Icebreaker and Smartwool. Always wash and change your socks daily. For me, two tops and pants were enough but I suggest four sets of underwear and socks.
my friend walked a month, me 10 days. We didn’t have any blister at all. We used every day, morning and evening GEHWOHL-footcream. Every day change socks. As Cameron says socks in natural fibres that breathe. Shoes that fits well. I wear boots that are at least 6 years old. Good luck
