What about Walking in March/April?

The question was:

I have read that september/october seems like a popular time of year to walk. Myself and my partner are thing of going in march/april to walk the Camino Frances. Looking at the weather on the internet it doesn’t look too bad. A bit cool in places, but I do prefer the cold over the heat.
Have many people walked around this time?

Also being easter is april a busy time on the Camino?

Easter is March 31 this year, so if you want to participate in any Holy Week activities you should plan around that date. Also keep in mind that many places may be closed because of the holiday/holy day. I hiked in Sept/Oct and loved it–2 days of poncho worthy rain, a few cool mornings, mostly shorts weather. The crops had been harvested so it was a bit dusty, but allowed for some great vistas. I think I was luck with the weather. Just remember…there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!

  Hi, my name is Kay. Thank you for the September weather update – something I have been looking for as my plan is to walk in Sept 2013. I am not a great fan of cold weather, especially first thing in the morning when I am struggling to wake up. When you mention ‘a few cool mornings’, could you please tell me, as gently as possible, what temperature I could expect to encounter. Looking forward to your reply.
