Profile maps of all 34 stages of the Camino Frances

This is not really a question, but more a useful document that was posted in the forum.

The document shows the profile maps of each of the 34 stages from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela, with the height differences on each stage. Very usefull to get an idea of which stages are flat (and easy), and when to get ready for some up hill walking.

It seems the document was created by the French pilgrim association.

  1. the benefit from a good official guide are the updated changes in the camino..the pictures and local legends as well as information on local foods…Is a treasure and a big difference between an old guide and a new one…I have made detours for special meals experiences in the camino, thanks to the info found in the guide…

  2. Thank you for this information, great, I am doing the Camino in May this year (in a Months+ time), can some one give me a idea of weather pattern in May ( From Leon to Santiago)?

    1. I walked the Camino Francès in May 2015 and 2016. In 2015 it was almost entirely sunny with temperatures around 30°C. The following year I had about three weeks of rain… Means: no!. The weather on the Camino is literally unpredictable.
