  1. Fills up very fast, so the trick is to get to Paderborn at ten am to “reserve a bed” by leaving your backpack. That lets you explore the city a bit pack-free but beware you have to be back a little before noon to make sure that you get your bed. Folks who leave their packs are checked in first but if you miss your spot you miss it. They even crammed a few people in on the floor but i suspect that was due to the peregrinos german heritage.

Was greeted with tea, juice and cookies. Very nice. Good shower and bathroom facilities and nice beds but a little shakey. Only complaint is that you can’t use the kitchen for dinner or even to make tea.

Two sinks outside for washing clothes, and two buckets for washing boots. Wash service also available.

Breakfast for 2,50 which i was told was quite good, bed for 6 euro.

On my definitely return to list for my next Camino.

  2. Just arrived at yje Paderborn. Very quaint with views over the river from rooms at the rear. Met with glass of orange juice and biscuits by very nice husband and wife team from Germany who speak good English.
