A bit dismal , 100 beds in a single room. I would normaly only give one star but I remind myself that it is donative and I should be a greatful pilgrim ………… in my 4 or so visits , the sterling effort of HOSVOL hospitaleros has made each stay a happy one.
If you are fussy , walk the extra miles to Azofra Municipal.
Nájera is a remarkable site along the river Najerilla at the base of
high red sandstone cliffs. The Arabic name means ‘place between the
rocks’. Located along the river this municipal albergue is made from
prefabricated, one story units and holds 100 pilgrims in one large dorm.
Another large common space is for eating or reading has a small but
adequate kitchen. Open all year the albergue is heated in winter, but
there are no blankets.
