The Pequeno Potala, a haven of cleanliness and peace, is one of my
favorite camino spots. A
small bell tinkles when you first enter through the rear door. Soothing
music can be heard in the
background. Bunks with duvets are arranged in a few small dorms. Home
cooked meals are copious and delicious (vegetarian is an option).
Massages are available. All is offered with true caritas by the two hospitleros. Each time that I have stayed here has been pure
pleasure. Carlos is an outstanding host and chef who puts all pilgrims at
ease. Late last November we were eighteen at table yet the
ambiance was most serene. He answered questions, offered advice and
quieted jitters while simultaneously from a few jars, bottles, cans and
boxes created a modern day miracle of the “loaves and the fishes” to
feed us all…Perfection!
Very pleasant place and the perfect overnight to do the run up to O’Cebreiro in the morning. Loved the fluffy comforters and the music was wonderful. The best food along with a large, wonderful bathroom, and you can get clean clothes – what more do you need?
Un lugar acogedor donde hacer una parada. Instalaciones buenisimas y una comida estupenda.
Stayed at this place 3 separate times on various caminos since July 2016 and after 2,100 kilometres walking out there, it remains my all-time favourite albergue. The meals – like the hosts – are simply sensational.
