Even though fit and used to walking long distances I am far too realistic to think that I can walk to Roncesvalles in one day without risking injury or strain . Jumping off an international flight and starting to walk the next day just screams eagerness induced injury to me . An overnight at Orisson is the obvious answer but my travel plans may fluctuate and flying from Australia allows for far too many variables to be able to make and use a firm booking .
The shuttle from Orisson back to…

The ferry between Caminha, Portugal and A Guarda, Spain summer 2015
I’ll be starting off my second Camino experience (I did Leon to Santiago around this time last year) on 7 September, flying in to A Coruna the day before, then catching the 7am train over to Ferrol on Wednesday morning to pick up a sello, a desayuno (hopefully!) and get these legs working.

Ferrol to Finisterra …. (and beyond?)
Hello past, present and future pilgrims!
I will leave Canada September 12th and arrive in Paris on September 13th at 8:45am. I was looking into transportation from Paris to SJPDP and my original plan was to catch a train to Bayonne, then taxi to St Jean. This would be about 24 hours of travel (which doesn’t sound all that comfortable) and my biggest fear would be not having any beds available once I arrive.
I recently read that I could fly from Paris to Biarritz for a comparable…
I’m in a bit of a pickle with flights
Hello …I plan to catch the bus from London to Seville on or around 14th October 2016 and start the chemin a couple of days later to Santiago . I am not a fast cyclist and don’t like hills so i am assuming about 3 weeks or so of comfortable cycling .
In 2007 i cycled from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago in 13 days and was about to do it again until last week when i heard about this Ruta Del Plata .
I can honestly say i enjoyed almost every moment of my first pilgrimage and would like to…
Planning to cycle the ruta del plata in October …any one fancy joining me ?
