Arneguy, France on the way to Valcarlos, Spain on the 1st day from St Jean Pied de Port

Famous for it's brebis cheeses. I learned from the cheese vendor in the Biarritz Marche, Mille et Un Fromages that the soft variety comes from the sheep that graze at the lower elevations and the hard cheese comes form the sheep that graze in the high pastures.
