Rocky Section on the Descent into Molinaseca

Oh Yeah! I remember it well. For me it was the most challenging day I had walking on the Camino.

The walk from Rabinal with its spectacular views was one of the best days on the Camino, but there was certainly a sting in the tail with the very rough final descent into Molinaseca. Poles saved many a potential slip. Luckily it was a dry day - it would have been very difficult in the wet. The photo captures the track condition perfectly. Thank you for the post.

There was heavy rain over there when I try to get into there. Sometimes had to consider every single step. Luckily I could get down safely.

A very tough day for sure, probably the toughest, but on the upside it leaves one with very happy memories of Molinaseca as a high point.

Tough on the knees! We had to keep our eyes focused on the ground for fear of stumbling. But I admired the group of Cyclists who did not dismount and went past us through the difficult rocky terrain.

I have had a few close calls where cyclists have come through difficult downhill stretches at speed with no warning and no concern for walkers.
