Now that you have used it do you think it was the right size? Which model is it. I'm still trying to decide on mine.

Thanks!

I would also be interested in knowing what time of year you went and what was in your pack when you finished.

Thanks,

Mike

These photos were uploaded as media so I'd have a place to grab them for a post in another forum thread (https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/pics-of-packs.26208/#post-276685), and I didn't really mean to generate conversation here. But since you asked, the pack is a 38L Osprey Kestrel. It seemed to be the right size for me, both the physical size and capacity. I don't recall ditching anything of significance during the Camino, although there were probably a few "what if" items that I never needed. My only complaint with the pack was that I didn't pay attention to how much play there was in the hip belt -- I lost about 15 lbs (6.5 kg) during training and walking the Camino, and ran out of adjustment on the hip belt. That meant the weight of the pack slid over my hips and placed significantly more stress on my shoulders. I eventually duct-taped a spare set of socks to the inside of the hip belt, and that helped but did not entirely cure the problem.

like it , mine looked all neat and tidy for the 1st day after that i had "stuff " hanging out all over the place:)
