Coffee Break III - La Casa Del Peregrino

I remember this place as if it was yesterday... Memories, so good for our hart and soul. Thanks for bringing me back here...

@StealthWalker - no worries for you this spring on the CF. El Acebo is at the end of a very steep and possibly treacherous walk and the starting place for 10km more to Molinesca, all downhill. It is pretty normal for pilgrims to stop and take a break at the local restaurants. It is a good place for socializing and catching one's breath. However, there is plenty of solitude on the trail, if that is your wish. I am just happy than someone came along, noticed my distress and helped me to get it back together. The people that helped me and I are now very good friends. In fact, we are going to walk from Le Puy-en-Valey in April.

Buen Camino.

I remember this place very well. After a long walk and steep descent, a cold drink and tuna empanada was such a treat!

@Bernard duffy - This was taken in El Acebo.
El Acebo had the best albuergue on the entire Camino...you have to hike all the way through town to hit it...but it was the best. It had an outstanding Camino pilgrim meal as well. The hike from Astorga to El Acebo was my second favorite day on the Camino...after the first day to Roncevalles.
