I remember Matias Locanda Italiana; the food and service were SO good! Had dinner and breakfast there.

That Matias Italian restuarant-what a gem! And we took pizza for the next day! One of the best meals on the camino. Haven't been in Sarria since 2011 and I am glad it is doing well.

Everyone tells me Matias has the greatest pizza. Unfortunately, I am lactose sensitive, and on low carb diets, so I'll just have to take folk's word for it. The photo is from Sept. 2012. When we left Sarria, again, in Oct. 2014, Matias was still going strong.

No one should leave Sarria without a visit to Matias. Great food, very interesting decorations and wonderful people.
