After leaving Sarria
@HalfDomeOrBust - The picture represents the fact that the crowd was actually thinning out once I got outside of town. When I walked into Sarria that early morning I was amazed, when I walked over the hill, by the number of pilgrims that were very excited about there first day on the Camino. I had never seen such a large group at one time.

Thank you taking a look at my photo, liking it and leaving a comment.

Buen Camino !

@Urban Trekker - The crowd tends to thin out a little after Sarria. I tried to stay in small villages after Sarria and not in the towns at the end of each page in Brierley's guide book. The Camino is very different after Sarria. But it is still part of the Camino experience.

Buen Camino

Thanks for the insight on staying in the smaller towns. I'm walking the French route next May/June and, God bless him, the Pope has declared next year a holy year and is urging the faithful to do a pilgrimage.
