I remember walking down this hill as if it were yesterday. I agree with Clearskies, I could walk the Camino forever. My return trip to Spain had to be cancelled for this year but I will be back on the Norte in 2016.

This summer I went to the fourth Camino, every walk of about 300km, but I have not been in Santiago .... a little consciously, subconsciously little - I do not want to trail ends.
Meseta is something special.

I go back in two weeks to walk for two weeks. Just the meseta. I won't walk to Santiago. I'm quite happy with this

I much prefer the meseta to Santiago.

Beautiful view!
I can't wait to get there. Looking so much forward to walking the meseta. This picture makes the meseta look like the ocean, vast, endless and soothing at the same time.

This is more or less a perfect day's walk: Starting from Castrojeritz early in the morning by climbing up a steep hill (callled very appropriate "The Mule Killer.."), then a little flat before going downhill, as the picture shows. then, at the end of picture. a man has an outdoor stand where he serves coffee and fruits for a donativo, with benches and tables. A perfect resting place.

My wife and I Been wanting 2 do the Camino for 3 years now. With 4 kids can be a difficult task.
Something always comes up and delays or hold our trip.
Just hope GODs willing to offer us this opportunity in the near future.
