First Sello after Sarria
I walked into Sarria in the late morning and the town was empty. But at the top of the hill, two bus loads of new pilgrims had just started their adventure. This portable Sello stand was set up outside of Sarria at the bottom of the hill. The new Pilgrims were very excited to line up for their first Sello.

I rode my cycle from Barbadelo to Palas De Rei - my last night in an Albergue, the following night I found a small private hotel - in Arzua (I had to do some running repairs around Melide). It was very warm that Saturday afternoon so I was glad of an easy day. On the Sunday I started around 8.30 am and reached Praza do Obradoiro just before 1.00 pm. So having seen this part of the Camino Frances I dearly would like to find an alternative. So the research continues. Dennis those places after Morgade sound a better option although from what I saw of Melide I would need to real convincing to stay there - it just did not grab me. But maybe I was suffering a little Camino/Pilgrim fatigue. (Thanks for the email address - if I come up with something viable will let you know). Cheers.

@Saint Mike II - I understand what you are saying. I just tried to make the best out of what happens after Sarria. The little villages were great for me and Melide was okay. I hope that they never change the minimum requirement for a Compostela to 200km on foot. I would be fearful that the last 200 would be like the like 100 is now.

Next year, I am going to try the Le Puy en Velay. That should be a whole new experience. I have already started polishing up my French.
