Calzadilla de la Cueza, the private albergue. Dreadful bathrooms.... could say more but will leave it at that. Apparently, the municipal one is much better maintained, but doesn't have that swimming pool in the back...
Yep, can't wait to get to those chairs and what they promise on their label by the time you reach that final slope.... I also think that bar accounts for 90% of that albergue's custom, though it does close at 10pm!
Now I can place it. I and my walking companion had our mid-morning snack here. Can’t comment on the albergue bathroom, but the toilets off the cafe/bar were clean. Oh and the coffee was good.
I just remember how cold and windy it was when I stayed here. No one was outside. Great spaghetti dinner, though, and they had Snickers candy bars, my fuel for the next day.
