Thank you Saramago, the Poppies were also stunning, will be finished editing in less than a week, suffered shoulder pain from too much time on computer, had to slow down.
I don't usually look at pictures, but I see I've been missing a lot! This is gorgeous, Nalod, and it brings back many wonderful memories of my Camino de Levante. Where will you be walking next (with your camera I hope)?
@peregrina2000 A very happy new Year to you. This year I done the Via de Plata (again) this time to Astorga the on to Santiago. In September I done the beautiful Primitivo. I am currently on a year long training programme in Ireland based on Outdoor Recreation (reinventing myself in my very late 50s). So I wont be able to get away until at least June. I will do some long distance hikes in 2017 but yet to decide where. Any suggestions?
Hmmm, I think that leaving in June means you should stay out of southern Spain, unless you are able to tolerate temperatures at or near 40. Not sure how solitary you want the route to be, but the Olvidado is very nice, as is the Lebaniego/Vadiniense combination and they are both in the north. But they are very solitary -- I don't think I met another pilgrim the whole time. Both have some nice mountain parts and I really enjoyed them both! And Happy New Year, can't believe it's 2017 already. Buen camino, Laurie
