This appears to be some km's west of Rabanal (?) The view from up there - near Foncebadon - where it appears as though you can see all of Spain (well at least the part East back to Astorga). Hopefully it will be as clear when I am there at the end of May. Cheers

I believe you're right. Magical time of the morning. I have a shot from the front side as well...just picking up a bit of the morning ray on the top of the front face. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Ruins just outside Foncebadon heading to the Cruz Fero.. I spent an evening there waiting for the light to be just right for a picture. Fell asleep and woke up after dark. Missed the picture but not the bug bites! So I am really enjoying this pic. Its one that got away but brings back a special memory
