Like Father, Like Daughter...

"If you want to see your child's eyes light up -- go together to a toy store;
If you want to see their soul radiate in all its infinite beauty -- go together on the Camino de Santiago."

@Mike Savage Thank you! That cloud is right over Santiago; my daughter and I (and our Pilgrim Family) walked into the City in pouting rain, drenched and singing and dancing of pure joy! (I should add that, even though this was in March, we hadn't had a drop of rain between Astorga and, well, right abut 10 clicks from Santiago! And unforgettable last day of an unforgettable Camino! :)

@Peter Fransiscus Thank you so much Peter! Yes, it was the most unique and genuinely amazing Camino: Astorga to Santiago, March 2016, with my then-10-year-old Princess! She grew up on Camino stories and tales and in company of my many, many pilgrim friends, so it was her dream to walk the Camino, I think, even since before she could remember :) (And I am not even talking about myself, and about what a dream-come-true that sharing what I love so passionately was for me!) Buen Camino!

happy enough to see like this...who knows someday i may walk with my nephews & nieces.

the clouds is amazing. whats the best time to do the camino?season, months? im planing of having a camino next year.thanks;)

Hi Maks, it's lovely to see your daughter so happy walking. I'm leaving on the 29th of September to walk with my 10 year old son. Flying into Madrid, we have about 17 days, not quite decided whether to start in Leo or Astorga.. We are both very excited and looking forward to the adventure ahead but also i'm a bit nervous going into the unknown with my child, having not walked the camino before myself. I would be grateful for any tips or advice you many have especially regarding walking with children..
