definitely would recommend it for any fairly fit walkers/ hikers but it was a long day into to Los Arcos from Ciraqui especially when there was no where in Luquin to have a coffee or snack but a day when I only met one other peregrino in almost 4 hours walking.

I walked this road but I never seen the beauty of it (Until Now) all I could see the one meter of the ground in front of me as my 15 Kg ruck sack took its toll and cursed another bloody never ending hill. Thank you !:(

Will definitely take this route next time. But it means the whole day with no cafe/store doesn't it? :oops:

@Robo, afraid so. I started that day from Cirauqui, dropped down to Irache to visit the wine fountain and Hotel Irache for lunch and then climbed back up to the high route. The community cafe/ bar in Luquin wasn't open so ended up eating a few pieces of fruit there before finishing in Los Arcos. Carrying food for the day is no problem but be sure to carry plenty of water.
