I walked SJPD to Santiago in approach shoes. 2 years later I walked from Lisbon to Santiago in Keen sandals. I think it's all in the fit and getting your feet healthy and tough.i wear sandals all year on our farm unless we have rain, mud or snow. The sandals go in the washing machine too on a wool wash!
