Looking down towards Río Pisuerga and Itero de la Vega
I recall this down slope from 2015, I was on the bike, but with some 50 or more walking pilgrims and the steep slope (around 6%) made riding to dangerous. Coming back in May 2017 following rain the previous day it was green, green, green with water laying just about everywhere. Thanks

My day started very early that morning in Castrojeriz. This was my second time walking that hill and I was in much better shape than the first time. I was just blown away by the beautiful views which awaited me.
