In October it is still dark when Albergue wants you out before 8:00am.

I do not like to walk in the dark, so when I was a hospitalera on the meseta in the second half of October a couple years ago, I made sure everyone knew when they registered that if they were not comfortable leaving before 8am when it was still dark, then they were welcome to hang around and have another coffee until it was light enough for them to comfortably and safely walk on. I was on my own in the albergue and pretty much my own boss, so it was easy to accommodate the needs of the guests.
