Fall 09, it had poured the night before so it was steamy and very warm walking up the trail. I think I stopped at every bar, etc. and got cold water, pop, ice cream, etc. to replace the liquid that I was sweating out but I made it. Sure needed a shower after that day's hike. I was proud of myself as I had avoided the other strenuous climbs.

I believe I was told there is away around O'Cebrerio anyone know ?
@nathanael - when you say a "way around O'Cebrerio" are you seeking another trail or do you wish to totally avoid this climb? You can take a road (sealed) via Laguna de Castilla (the road branches off a little before La Faba). If you are intent of "totally"avoiding the climb then its the bus from Herrerias to Triacastela. But hey yes I know its a tough climb (even on the road for cyclists - me!!) but a little effort is required by the pilgrim (imho). Cheers
