Tomar - Castello Templario

Thank you for asking - this is in the town of Tomar, Portugal.
Convento do Cristo - closely connected to the Templar knights history
as I recall, this is what one sees right after entering through the main gate.
stayed 2 nights in this amazing town -

Thanks for the info, old building fascinate me. Here in Canada we think a 100 years old building is old. I'm debating between going back to walk from Leon to Santiago or do the Camino Portuguese, both are attractive to me.

Indeed...in Palermo, Sicilia...there is a stone gate called “Porta Nuova”...(new gate) ...and when i checked, it was from 1583...when construction started. Putting things into prespective :)
You can have glorious sightings and experiences of old buildings galore in portugal as well as in espana.
You have something to look forward to, either way you choose...
Bom caminho.

Yes, Italy is in my bucket list. I'm planning to spend a couple of months there in 2019 for my retirement celebration. There are so many places to go to, work interferes with my life :)

Have a great day
Chris
