Camino de Santiago pendent that has a shell on the front, and "Camino de Santiago" engraved on the back. Comes with a black cord. Pendent is slightly larger than a 50 euro cent coin, about 25mm.
I remember walking through vine yards to Ponferrada. It seemed very remote and I got short of water. A long hot day but looking back I am proud of myself.
@Lynda t Hola Lynda - if I was asked to wager I'd say this was approaching Navarrete - mid-way between Logrono and Najera. I remember being able to see the village/town? about 30 or 45 minutes before I arrived. ( I agree that there are vineyards west of Ponferada, around Cacabelos and further west towards Villafranca del Bierzo). Cheers
This popped up in my 'Random pictures'. The title gives the stage it is on Between Puente la Reina and Estella. That is Cirauqui in the distance that is being approached.
@Fletchonides : whilst I agree it does look like Cirauqui - it appears to big a town for Cirauqui which (according to Brierley) has 500 population; whilst Navarrete has around 2900. Still either way its a great photo - pilgrims/vineyard/town/shower/bed!!??
It is etched into my memory; I had some seafood tapas for lunch in Puente la Reina, and stopped for an icecream in Cirauqui, and shortly thereafter was puking my guts up along the roadside. It continued until the evening. Fortunately I was ok the next day.
