I had good weather too. Shorts and jumper. Had back up in the ruck sack though. Mine was May 25th 2010. Still hankering to go back. It gets under your skin.

It was clear but very windy in 2013 when my son and I went over. It does get in your blood. I can't think of a better way to spend a month.

I walk this weather permitting this coming Sunday excited / nervous and hope I get to see some of the beautiful countryside, fingers crossed for good visibility :)

@Cailin O Eire Don't be nervous you look young and healthy. Just take your time, have lots of sit down breaks and drink lots of water. If you're alone talk to people along the way it helps to pass the time and you can find out who your traveling companions are going to be for the next month. You are in for a grand adventure.
