Yes it's a bit different then when Tom was there in 2009 or 2010. I tried to get a room back in 2017, but they were booked out for just one night (in May) which happened to be the night I wanted to stay. Maybe next time??

Nice place to stay, though they do book out quite a bit ahead.
This year as I had Pat with me, and I wanted to stay there, we ended up booking our first 6-7 nights before we left home. Nice short stages for her to 'warm up'. After that we free wheeled....... The night we stayed at Akerreta everything from Zubiri to Pamplona was booked out........ (end of April)
