Hi everyone
We will be arriving in Vigo airport on a Sunday morning at 10 and need to get to Tui to start the Camino there. It looks like there's no buses. Any other transport apart from taxi? Thank you!

In 2019 we walked from Valença to Santiago and a German lady joined us.
we stayed in a house nearby Mos and she nearby the Vigo airport.
we met each other in the morning nearby the Mos albergue
she arrived by taxi because there is no public transport.

you could take the train from Vigo to Valença and walk from there to Tui.it is about 3 kms .
but the Vigo airport is not close to the Vigo towncenter where the station is.
In Vigo are two trainstations. If you want to take the train take care that you go to the Vigo Guixar station which has the connection with Valença and Porto

there is also a busconnection by ALSA bus from Vigo bustation to Valença
mind that the busstation is also in the center of Vigo which is about 14 kms from the airport

Perhaps you have very specific reasons for walking from Tui but it is possible to walk from Vigo. If i recall correctly the route from Vigo (camino portugués coastal route) merges with the central route (tui) at Redondela.

There are no buses from the airport, but there are buses Vigo-Tui from Vigo's bus station. Not many on a Sunday, but there seems to be one at 12.00 that you should be able to make.
Here's the bus schedule: https://lugove.gal/wp/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/A-Guarda1.pdf

I think there is a bus from the airport to Vigo's city centre, but I don't know the details. The price is around €1.35.
A taxi from the airport to the city centre should have a fixed price of around €22 or €23.

That really helps me. I’m meeting a friend at Tui/Valenca who is flying in to Vigo

Website for the Vigo airport (I know it says "Bus," but that's for catching the bus from the airport.

And their local bus services, if you wanted to get to the train, for example:

https://www.vitrasa.es/php/index.php?pag=calculo-rutas (not one of the most user-friendly interfaces)

That one doesn't have an English version. I imagine they could help you at the airport.

ATSA Bus Lines (not to be confused with ALSA) has numerous trips every day from Vigo to Tui. You can find their schedule online. It's a local company and busses are better than ALSA. After Tui, the bus continues on to A Guarda and the CP coastal route.

Thank you. That sounds like a good idea!

Not any more. The company servicing that route now is Lugove. I posted a link to their schedule in a previous message
