Time of past OR future Camino
Porto to Santiago Easter
Could anyone tell me what the current waiting time is for queueing for your certificate at the Pilgrims office. We are returning for a flight to the UK and our time is a little tight.
Thanks

The Pilgrims Office app will answer your question. No one else can.
Get there early or register in advance
Actually not an app, but a website.
You can register before arriving to save time by clicking on the "register" link on the site.
You can bookmark this page:
Don't worry that it says "create a group" after you click on single registration. The Pilgrims Office must have hired a cut rate translator.

After filling out the registration you will receive an alphanumeric code and a QR code via email.
Write the alphanumeric code in your credential for quick retrieval.

When you arrive at the Pilgrims Office they will want your registration code before giving you a numbered ticket that has another QR code on it. You can scan the QR code to bring up the page that shows which number is currently being served. This allows you to leave the area for a while while keeping track of your place in the queue.

Be aware that there are a limited number of tickets given out each day, so if you arrive later in the afternoon during a busy period you may have to return the next morning.

It's best to plan on at least one day in Santiago after you arrive if receiving a Compostela is very important to you.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

This morning for opening there were almost 60 Pilgrims in line. The Pilgrims who hadn't had their turn the day before go ahead of the Pilgrims who were waiting this morning.

The gards at the entrance of the Pilgrims Office called for the police today to talk to 2 Pilgrims who did not want to put on a mask. After a good conversation, they apparently put on a mask.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.

We went yesterday at around 5 and got in immediately. It is first come first served. There is a QR code in front and if you have wifi you can fill in the form online which will expedite process. Ver basic form.

It’s impossible to say since the wait varies day by day based upon the number of pilgrims who show up! This is related to the numbers walking, but realize That multiple routes converge on Santiago and some folks from previous days may choose to stand in line at any given time. Just like there are bubbles of walkers that fill Albergues despite the adjoining days being practically empty, so too at the office. And then variations by day of week and even time of day. Weather, too, can change arrival numbers. Then again, not all pilgrims seek a compostela.

In short, who knows?!?! Show up, get a number, and if it works out timing wise, so much the better. It is truly out of your hands.

I went late in the afternoon yesterday and there was no line at all. Very efficient process and nice folks. Bring your mask!

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

If all professionals and volunteers are present- there are 14 counters now, this row with 60 pilgrims will be handled for a Compostella within approx. half an hour.

Or you fill it in before you come to the Pilgrim Office. 🙏🏻
